Bucher’s Beat – WDTN Channel 2 National “Get Organized” Month

GET ORGANIZED MONTH KICKS OFF WITH KIDS VOTING

DAYTON, OHIO – The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) NAPO is sponsoring its fourth annual Get Organized Month in January 2008. Get Organized MonthSM is a national industry-wide event dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits of getting organized and spotlighting professional organizers. Three local members of NAPO selected Kids Voting as its community project to celebrate Get Organized Month January 17th at the Kids Voting headquarters located at 120 W. 2nd Street, 5th Floor in the Liberty Savings Bank building.

This was a collective effort between several small businesses to work together to support the nonprofit organization, Kids Voting. The morning started with a Bucher’s Beat (WDTN-TV) segment at the North River Coffee House to promote Get Organized Month. The team of six organizers than traveled to the Kids Voting headquarters to organize the executive director’s office, the Education corridor, and the Election storage closet. “We selected Kids Voting because we know that 2008 will be a major year for this nonprofit civic education organization. We wanted to help continue the growth of their 2008 programming, outreach, training, partnerships and visibility by organizing their education, election, and other materials. Being organized will help Kids Voting keep its status as the strongest and most successful Kids Voting program in the nation, and make them the best prepared for 2008,”said Lori Firsdon one of the organizers who helped lead the project.
