2009 is just around the corner. “Getting Organized” is a leading New Year’s resolution of millions of people at their home or in their business. Now, more than ever, is a great time of year to re-examine your efficiency and productivity as an individual.

Now in it’s fifth year, NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers) sponsors GET ORGANIZED (GO) month every January. Encore is a member of NAPO, and for the third year (2009), Encore is leading the effort in Dayton, Ohio, to promote GO month and volunteer their services, along with other local organizers, to assist a non-profit organization with becoming better organized in operating their business. GO month is intended to raise the awareness of the benefits of getting organized and hiring a NAPO professional organizer.

The services of a professional organizer can focus on residential or business services. Encore specializes in paper management at home or office, including “action” papers, as well as “archived” papers. In addition to the physical “clutter” people accumulate, most “clutter” or “chatter” is happening in the minds of people. It’s the schedules, commitments, activities, and more, that cause people to operate in a “reactive” mode. Encore focuses on the whole person, teaching lifestyle changes and techniques, to help people focus on being more productive and efficient in handling what is necessary to run a business or household (with or without children).

Last year, Encore and other local organizers, were featured on WDTN-Channel 2 – Bucher’s Beat program, to promote GO month and Kid’s Voting, a non-profit organization in Dayton. Their joint efforts in this day made a huge impact on this organization. The donation of time was very much appreciated by Kid’s Voting.
